25 Oct Top 5 Places to Enjoy a Delicious Cup of Coffee
Coffee, Cappuccino, Flat Whites, I’ll have them all.
As a coffee enthusiast, I love drinking coffee (every day & all day!!!) – especially on Saturday mornings (with a view of course!). Good coffee makes for good conversation, and a nice view makes for an even better celebration.
Below I gathered a list of my Top 5 locations to enjoy a goooood cup of coffee, a flat white or a cappuccino (with a VIEW : – ) )
1. The Table Bay Hotel
The Table Bay Hotel is a 5-star establishment. If you are looking for a relaxing yet luxurious environment with beautiful views of the V&A Waterfront, The Table Bay Hotel is your ideal coffee treat. Each cup of coffee, cappuccino or tea is usually served with a little sweet treat for you to enjoy at no extra cost.
Opening times: Monday to Sunday (hours depend on the day of the week)
2. The Silo Hotel
The Granary Café is a contemporary style restaurant with views over the V&A Waterfront. My favourite bites to pair with my cuppa are the Royal Tea, what better than coffee, snacks AND a view? Be sure to make a reservation to secure your seat at this extraordinary café.
(Opening times: Monday to Sunday (hours depend on the day of the week)
3. Hemelhuijs
Located in Waterkant Street, Cape Town lies this little gem called Hemelhuijs. An intimate restaurant with beautiful interiors and amazing food. Here you will find Vietnamese coffee, Soft Mieliepap (my favourite), amazing Rösti’s and Frikkadelle just to name a few. A selection of delicacies to fill up your pantry is also available at Hemelhuijs. A real treat indeed.
Opening times: Monday to Saturday (hours depend on the day of the week)
4. Rhebokskloof Wine Estate
Situated on the Paarl Wine Route, luscious trees and green gardens greet you whilst you sip on a cup of freshly brewed coffee, enjoying nature at its finest. Rhebokskloof offers an amazing menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On my visit, I could not choose between coffee or sparkles, so I got both!
Opening times: Monday to Sunday (hours depend on the day of the week)
5. Dutch East
Dutch East is located in Huguenot Street, Franschhoek. The restaurant overlooks the main road in Franschhoek and it has a very vibrant and exciting vibe to it. Dutch East makes for a perfect drive out to the Winelands to enjoy great coffee and of course, something sweet with it.
